    "Persol" : more than a name, a signature of style

Originally designed to protect Turin tram drivers from wind, dust and pollution, this frame became one of the brand’s most legendary silhouettes.     A few years later, the Persol 714 made history as the first foldable sunglasses in the world. Worn by Steve McQueen — road pilot and ambassador of the model — it became an international cultural icon. Persol also appeared on the faces of Marcello Mastroianni, Greta Garbo and Wim Wenders, all drawn to the blend of technique, comfort and aesthetics.
