    Sunglasses Chloé: Romantic & bohemian sunglasses

    In 1952, in Paris, Gaby Aghion, a Parisian by adoption originally from Cairo, founded the Chloé Maison. She chose the name of her friend Chloé Huisman, whose lively and feminine personality reflected the free spirit she wished to convey. That same year, she introduced the very first luxury ready-to-wear collection, a bold step that challenged the fashion practices of the time.

    Since its beginnings, Chloé has embraced a romantic, soft and bohemian aesthetic. The Maison’s sunglasses naturally reflect this sensibility through airy shapes, delicate colours and an instinctive approach to style. They embody the identity of a spontaneous, authentic and passionate woman who appreciates bold lines as much as luminous palettes inspired by the 1970s.

    In 1972, the opening of the first Parisian boutique marked an important milestone for Chloé. Several influential figures contributed to shaping its aesthetic, including Gérard Pipart, Maxime de la Falaise, Michèle Rosier, Graziella Fontana and Karl Lagerfeld. In June 2020, the Maison entrusted the development, production and distribution of its eyewear to Kering Eyewear, strengthening the coherence and quality of its eyewear line. In 2023, Chemena Kamali took over the artistic direction and revived this heritage with a sensitive and contemporary perspective aligned with Chloé’s spirit of openness and optimism.

    The frames stand out with their generous volumes, fluid curves and tones inspired by light, sand or soft pastel petals. Gradient lenses, powdery shades, golden details and vintage touches give each pair a gentle yet confident presence. Butterfly, oversize and aviator silhouettes draw from both 1970s influences and the modern elegance of today’s women.

     

    The worlds that shape Chloé eyewear

     

    Among the emblematic lines, Marcie holds a special place. The iconic copper double CC, a nod to the 1970s, appears discreetly on the hinges. Some frames feature this signature detail, such as the Marcie CH0259S 002, illustrating the warm elegance associated with this collection.

    Naomy adopts a more retro approach. Its enamel logo in contrasting colour, intentionally placed on the temple, brings character while preserving the softness typical of the Chloé universe.

    The Gayia collection follows a more responsible philosophy. The frames are crafted from ReAce, a material made of 100% recycled acetate scraps. This approach extends to the case, which contains up to 52% recycled materials.

    Special editions showcase meticulous detailing, such as openwork temples, jewellery-inspired hinges, translucent acetate or faceted contours. Warm shades like honey, blush pink or nude combined with golden finishes create an instantly recognisable signature while maintaining the luminous softness that defines Chloé.

    The Aly line brings a fresh summer touch with its tricolour gradient lenses playing with light. This carefree and sunlit style is embodied in the model Chloé Aly CH0278S, whose colourful look captures the warm spirit of the collection.
